Learning Technologies Research Institute (LTRI)

Creating the next generation of interactive instruction

The right solution for your audience, content, and delivery methods

There is no single technique to developing online instruction. LTRI is experienced in tailoring an approach to fit the customer's need. Instructor-lead or standalone, technical topics or soft skills, executive training or basic skills, limited bandwidth or T3 line, we tailor the course to fulfill the customer's unique training goals and objectives.

Learner-centered design

Creating effective technology-based instruction first requires an understanding of effective methods of instruction. With experience in cognitive theory, instructional design, and human computer interfaces, LTRI staff develops environments fostering active learning, providing timely and useful feedback, and making maximum use of student training time.

Blending technology and creativity

LTRI actively explores new approaches to delivering content that include simulations, serious games, and case studies. LTRI staff and partners are skilled in the current tools such as Flash, STELLA, CGI, and video production.

Leveraging Learning Objects to streamline development

LTRI develops much of its content using Learning Objects; reusable code that can be adapted to a variety of instructional tasks. Using the LTRI library of Learning Objects facilitates the efficient delivery of quality instructional material and provides the customer with a more easily updateable product.

We know the language

LTRI has provided service to the full spectrum of federal, state, local, international government customers as well as commercial companies; creating materials that meet both SCORM and Section 508 compliance standards. NUARI/LTRI offers federal customers access through the GSA Schedule 69, Course Development Contract.
